This class could help your teen avoid a car wreck
DeFUNIAK SPRINGS — Did you know that teen drivers are three times more likely to be involved in a fatal crash as other drivers? The Walton County Sheriff’s Office is offering a free driving course designed to help teenagers improve their driving skills and lessen the chances of being involved in an accident X431 Diagun 3. The program will provide a mix of classroom instruction and hands-on driver training Maxisys MS908. The classroom portion will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Feb. 7 in Room 20-121 at Walton High School in DeFuniak Springs MD802. The driving portion will begin at 8 a.m. Feb. 8 at the Walton County Fairgrounds. Refreshments will be provided. Youths 15 to 19 are eligible to attend. They must have a valid Learner’s Permit/Florida Operators License for at least six months and must provide their own car. A copy of a driver license, vehicle registration and insurance is required. The class is limited to 12 students. Others will be placed on a waiting list for future classes. Forms can be picked up from resource deputies at schools. They must be turned in by Feb. 3.
